WHEN YOU REFER TO THE STREETS BEING FIXED WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP, EVEN THEN, THE CITY WAS THE RESPONSE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR DOING THAT. AND THEY DID IT, NOT THE REFINERIES. A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THAT WE GIVE THEM INCENTIVES, BUT THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR US. WE GET OVER $30 MILLION FROM ALL OF THESE REFINERIES THAT WE HAVE IN OUR JURISDICTION. OTHER CITIES AND EVERY CITY, EVERY COUNTY, EVERY STATE ONLY OPERATE FROM TAXES AND FEES. THAT'S HOW ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT OBTAIN MONEY BY TAXES AND FEES. HERE IN PORT ARTHUR, WE GET OVER 30 MILLION. OKAY, SO WE DON'T PROVIDE SERVICES. WE DON'T PICK UP NO TRASH. WE DON'T GIVE THEM WATER, WE DON'T GO FIX THEIR WATER LINES AND ALL THAT. WE GET $30 MILLION. SO WHEN WE GO TO CONFERENCES AND STUFF AND PEOPLE SAY, WE FROM PORT ARTHUR, OH, Y'ALL DOWN THERE WITH ALL THE REFINERY, WELL, WE KNOW Y'ALL GET MONEY. SO ACTUALLY WE GET MONEY FOR THOSE INCENTIVES, 30 PLUS MILLION DOLLARS. IT'S LIKE GRAVY BECAUSE WE DON'T PROVIDE SERVICE. SO THE QUESTION SHOULD ALWAYS BE NOT THE REFINERIES NOT DOING NOTHING FOR US. WHAT ARE WE DOING WITH THE MONEY? OKAY. SO I THINK THAT'S WHAT WE NEED AND CITIZENS NEED TO UNDERSTAND. LET'S PUT THE BLAME WHERE THE BLAME SHOULD GO. THAT'S WHERE THEY WANTS TO COME WITH INDUSTRY AND REFINING, WHETHER WE LIKE IT, WHETHER WE ACCEPT IT OR NOT.

PORT ARTHUR IS KEY NOT ONLY TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, BUT THE WORLD, BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO BE SHIPPING LNG. AND AND WHEN IT COMES TO THESE REFINERIES, WE DON'T GET THE CHANCE TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO BECAUSE THEY OWN THE PROPERTY JUST LIKE YOU. AS LONG AS OUR ORDINANCE ALLOW THEM TO BUILD THAT ON THAT PARTICULAR PROPERTY THAT THEY OWN, WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO PUTTING THINGS IN THE AIR ON US, TC, EPA, THAT'S WHERE THEY HAVE

TO GO GET PERMITS, BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO CONVINCE THEM THAT THEY'RE NOT GOING TO PUT NOTHING THAT WILL HARM THE POPULATION. SO IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, THEY GIVE US MILK MILLIONS. OKAY, THEY WILL HELP OUT, BUT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PUT MONEY IN A, IN A BLACK HOLE. BUT THE PEOPLE ACT, EQUALIZED EVERYTHING. BUT YOU'RE RIGHT. THE CITY STREETS AND WHAT HAVE YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING BETTER. BUT BUT OUR MONEY IS SPREAD THIN.
