HIM, YOU CAN'T DO THIS, YOU HAVE TO HAVE PERMITS.I WAS TOLD BY CITY INSPECTIONS THAT THEY TRIED TO PLAY THE CARD OF, OH, WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS IN THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR.
WE THOUGHT THIS WAS OUT IN THE COUNTY.
I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE BECAUSE WHEN YOU BUY A PIECE OF PROPERTY, THE DEED SAYS EXACTLY WHERE THE HOUSE IS AT.
MY SECOND ISSUE WAS WHEN I REALIZED THEY WERE TRYING TO TURN THE GARAGE INTO A SECOND RESIDENCE.
AND WHEN THE CITY INSPECTORS REALIZED THAT'S WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO, THEY PUT A STOP ON THAT.
THEY TOLD 'EM THEY COULD NO LONGER WORK ON THAT UNTIL THEY PETITIONED FOR A REPL AND IT WAS APPROVED.
THEY CONTINUED TO WORK ON IT ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS WHEN THEY KNEW NO CITY INSPECTOR WOULD COME AROUND.
UM, I KEPT SENDING CITY INSPECTIONS EMAILS THROUGH MY CITY EMAIL ACCOUNT WHEN I WOULD SEE THEM DOING THINGS OVER AT THE PROPERTY BASED ON THE FACT THAT I WAS TOLD THEY WERE TOLD THEY THEY COULDN'T DO ANYMORE.
BUT THEY WERE CONTINUING TO WORK WITH THE FACT THAT THEY CLAIMED THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE HOUSE WAS IN PORT ARTHUR AND THE FACT THAT THEY WERE TOLD OR THEY DIDN'T GET ANY PERMITS, AND THEN THEY DID GET PERMITS AND THEN THEY WERE TOLD THEY COULDN'T DO WHAT THEY WANTED TO DO, BUT THEY KEPT DOING IT ANYWAY.
GIVES ME NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THEY'RE ACTING IN GOOD FAITH.
AND MY ASSUMPTION, WHICH I DO REALIZE HOW DANGEROUS ASSUMPTIONS ARE, BUT I CAN BASE THAT OFF ASSUMPTION OFF OF PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF SEEING PEOPLE DO THIS ALL OVER THE CITY, IS THEY'RE BUYING PROPERTIES AND TURNING HOUSES INTO MULTI UNITS, RENTING THEM OUT BY THE ROOM TO ALL THESE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS.
AND I BELIEVE STRONGLY THAT'S WHAT THEY INTEND ON DOING WITH THE HOUSE AND THE GARAGE.
AND ALTHOUGH I CAN'T PROVE THAT AS A CITIZEN OF THE COMMUNITY, IT KIND OF UNSETTLES ME THAT THEY CAN AND ASK FOR A REPL, BUT DON'T HAVE TO SAY WHAT THEIR INTENTIONS ARE.
AND MY NEXT CONCERN WAS AS IT WOULD BE, I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR A FEW WEEKS AND WHEN I CAME BACK THEY HAD ADDED ON TO THIS GARAGE, UH, A PORCH.

MY FENCE IS GONNA BE WITHIN TWO FEET OF THIS STRUCTURE.
AND BEFORE THEY ADDED ONTO THE STRUCTURE, MY FENCE WOULDN'T HAVE, WOULD NOT HAVE MATTERED.
BUT NOW MY FENCE WILL BE WITHIN TWO FEET.

THEY CAN DWELL, THEY CAN EXAMINE IT DURING CONSTRUCTION, BUT ONCE IT'S COMPLETE, AND THEN LIKE THEY SAID, IF THEY TELL US, NO, WE'RE NOT DOING THAT, THESE ARE ALL PERSONAL FAMILY MEMBERS.
IT JUST GET, THEY JUST GET AWAY WITH IT.
AND IT, AND IT JUST, THAT'S BEEN GOING ON IN THE CITY, UH, SINCE THEY STARTED
